It begins with a feeling.
Sometimes an intention, but mostly a feeling and an urge to draw, paint or craft.
I don't know what I am drawing as my hand moves.
Yet, somehow it's like I am tracing something. I pause and wait for it to tell me what it wants to be. Where the next line or curve lands.
The design you see below, which I have dubbed 'the Bifrost' came into being while sitting in a community called Amara Valley in Spain, near Barcelona.
My hand scribbling away in one sitting, while immersed in this peaceful setting.
Since then I've allowed my hand to trace more of these designs, yet nothing as intricate as this one that I've dubbed 'The Bifrost.'
Not so much after Norse Mythology. More that for me it resembles a sort of rainbow bridge.
If this were a language, it would be symbolic without a fixed meaning.
Rather each symbol would represent an idea, or an impression based on our own perception.
Yet paired with other symbols that impression would change.
More importantly, who ever views it, sees it through their own lens of perception. And that is the true value of its function.
Everyone who looks upon it sees something different, hence I dubbed it the rainbow bridge. So, rather than defining it further, I simple say, let it speak to you in your own way.
Its now been over 70hours, first digitalising and neatening it up for the about 30hours through GIMP, only to learn more and then finally remastering this design over another 40hours.
These hands are always creating something. Be it through hand drawn art, acrylic or water based paints. At other times an experiences, in person or digital.
As I've come to discover for myself that all creation is the sovereign expression of our being and a beautiful way to get to know more of the mystery that resides within.
